While the hot Ohio summer approaches Anaconda trains and prepares for the fights ahead. We've already had a pretty busy year...Fighting terror and causing some as well. While other units ready themselves for the 08 airsoft season; we're busy refitting our broken in gear. 3 new members have been added to the roster. An invitational was held this past saturday in Anaconda weather. While the days weather was not fit for whistle pig.. we were out there combating eachother and ourselves. A perfect day for a recruiting evolution. And while many attended and struggled with their swim buddies, only three made it out. Welcome, DemonicUnicorn,Firstround and Zeph as probationary members to RTA.

*ROFL*, I always thought those headings in Airsoft were so comical..
I just wanted to announce that Recon Team Anaconda has a new Commander. I'm going to be moving out of the state shortly, and the team has unanimously voted H.N.I.C. as the new RTA Honcho. His role as Commander is effective immediately and he'll do a fine job, so you'll want to contact him about any official RTA stuff moving forward.

We had nearly 30 people out today for the skirmish and the weather was nearly perfect. Xen Mastre was our Architect of Battle for the day. The SAS fought against the IRA in the mud, on the hills, and in the woods. In the end, the IRA won the day, but I think there will be another chapter written before this book is complete.
Thanks to Tactical Aggression, Team Ronin, Gunny & Crew, And DemonicUnicorn for coming out and making the day so much fun. We'll see you guys next time!

Sure it's cold, and wet, and muddy, thats ANACONDA weather! We've been working on quite a few areas of training, and preparing for big things this year.
Also this month nearly the entire team will be heading back to Ft Knox to volunteer with the training staff at Zussman again. This is a big deal for us, we all feel like we're contributing a tiny bit, and thats important. This will be the first time going down there this year for us, so most of us have been going crazy waiting to get back.
Finally, we have our new team uniforms squared away, we're all using MultiCam now. It's a good pattern, and it also helps to keep a clear line between us out having fun and not portraying ourselves as something we're not. (ie: military) Anyway, thats our March update, stay tuned for more fun stuff happening soon.

A veritable mob of us descended on the rifle range yesterday to send many rounds downrange from many different toys. We shot everything from .22's to SIG P220's to M-14's. I think we easily fired close to a thousand rounds. I can't recall all the various weapons on the range, but there were so many of us, when another truck pulled up, they saw how many people we had on the line, and the turned around and left. Nothing like having the range entirely to ourselves. It was a great time.
